This was my favorite classical song in High School. Our high school group played it and I learned to love it. It is called "Elsa's Procession to the Cathedral" by Richard Wagner and the piece premiered in 1850 as part of a German romantic opera called Lohengrin. The first four minutes are calm and carefree and somewhat unimpressive, but from minute four to the end the piece intensifies. Listen at the end for the exquisite low brass, and the way the music builds to a thrilling crescendo.
