Last night we had the great privilege of hearing from President and Sister Kearon at a fireside for all the young women and women in our stake. Sister Kearon challenged us to "do the hardest corner first." She explained how when changing sheets, the job is easier if you identify the hardest-to-get-to corner and put the clean fitted sheet on that corner first. She said, "I will go and I will do even if it's going to be hard for me. Push yourself out there." She used the example of magnets and showed how one magnet pulls the other towards it. "God's love is the most powerful force in the universe and His love is pulling you up towards Him."
President Kearon told us that as we go and do as the Lord has commanded, miracles occur. He talked about pure Christianity, or living the gospel. We are at our best when this is what we are doing. "As soon as we get up and go, we are transformed. We are at our best when we're serving. There is a particular power in serving strangers." He bore a powerful testimony of President Nelson and how he (President Nelson) is being magnified. President Kearon challenged us to keep refreshing our gospel experience, to look beyond ourselves, and to let the Atonement of Jesus Christ heal us.
