Ann Dibb, President Monson's daughter, describes her father as a unique, "whirlwind of a man." As his memory and health worsened, she made sure he could continue to do what he had done throughout his life--visit the sick, the lonely and those who need lifting. Ann explains, "Tom Monson needed that because it made him happy. It was core to him."

People find happiness in different ways, and by doing different things. For President Monson, he felt happy as he served and reached out to others. He had a habit of continually serving others, thus he was always happy. He went about doing good, just as the Savior did. He thought of others more than himself. He was aware and in tune with the promptings of the Holy Ghost. He could be trusted to be on the Lord's errand. What an incredibly good man.
