A few thoughts and questions about humility:
Doctrine & Covenants 1:25--And inasmuch as they erred it might be made known (A few of the purposes of scripture are to clarify truth, declare commandments, and straighten us out when we err).
Doctrine & Covenants 1:28--And inasmuch as they were humble they might be made strong, and blessed from on high, and receive knowledge from time to time (Marvelous blessing promised to those who are humble).
President Nelson said: "Ask your Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, for help."
When I pray, when I go to church, when I attend the temple, and when I reach out to others, I am opening my heart.
Anytime I turn to God I am showing humility.
Humility is a recognition that I don't know everything or have all of the answers.
Am I teachable?
Am I willing to open myself to learning and instruction?
Doctrine & Covenants 112:10--Be thou humble; and the Lord thy God shall lead thee by the hand (This is what I truly want--to be led by the hand by the Lord throughout my life).
