A dear friend gave me a wonderful book for Christmas last year.  For each day of the year, the author shares a classical piece of music and tells a little about the piece and/or the composer.  I have loved reading and listening. Here is a piece that was shared in October. This piece "Someone to Watch Over Me" (composed by George Gershwin, arranged by Joseph Turrin, and performed by Philip Smith) reminds me of my father because he played the trumpet and because he watched over me. The trumpet is gentle and smooth in this arrangement.

I love you Dad!
