This past week there have been many reasons to smile....

Like when we went out on our Anniversary for lunch and gelato and then later went to the temple for sealings.

Or when a young woman in the ward sent me this picture--she made this quilt for her bed, all by herself!  She just started sewing this summer and then decided that for her birthday she wanted to pick out fabric and make herself a new quilt.  She chose great fabrics using navy blue, white and gold then sewed strips of material together.  She set up the quilt on quilting frames, tied the knots, then finished the edges.  I am so proud of her!

Or how about the day Corinn and I went out for ice cream to celebrate her 40th?  Pretty fun!

Other reasons to smile...
I went to an inspiring funeral,
wept with a sister-in-law,
talked with a brother,
loved each session of Stake Conference and learned a lot,
used zucchini in the garden in different, delicious ways,
visited with young women,
spent time with my Dad,
asked a daughter for help (and she helped me in a marvelous way),
laughed at family members on Marco Polo,
saw my in-laws,
watched the sun come up while exercising,
enjoyed the summer evenings,
gazed at the mountains,
walked in the gulley,
talked with a grieving friend,
worked on family history projects,
received texts from a brother about great parts of the CFM lesson,
prayed,
fasted...
all the while feeling very grateful.
