There is a blog I look at a few times a year and I clicked it on a couple of weeks ago. The blog has thousands of followers and is run by a stylish and knowledgeable woman. She recently wrote an article about a policy change in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. In her opinion, the prophet of the church (President Russell M. Nelson) is 99.9% man, and the other small percentage prophet. I disagree.
If I thought the way she thought , I would question every word the prophet said, wondering if he spoke as a man or a prophet.
I know Russell M. Nelson is a man, and I do not expect him to be perfect, and yet I trust him as the mouthpiece of the Lord. President Nelson serves under the direction of Jesus Christ and I imagine their communication to be clear and ongoing.
President Nelson is a very active, energetic, and inspiring prophet. Because he sees things we cannot see, and knows things we do not know, he has a vision different than ours. He is able to tell us things to do in order to prepare ourselves temporally and spiritually for the days ahead. He has given us clear direction as to how we can best prepare ourselves and our families.
A prophet does not need to be popular with the general public or with successful bloggers. A prophet warns, declares, challenges, instructs, and testifies. He cares about whether or not what he is doing and saying is pleasing God, not the world.
I have a testimony that God the Father and Jesus Christ lead and direct prophets. By the power of the Holy Ghost we can each know that President Nelson is God's mouthpiece on the earth today.

I have seen several successful bloggers go down a path of skepticism I don't wish to follow. I love your testimony of the prophet. I sustain him, too, and have come to know for myself that he knows of what he speaks.
