There are numerous things I am grateful for, but here are ten I'm thinking about today:
1. The visiting teaching program. I am lifted by my visiting teachers and I am lifted by the relationships I have with the ladies I visit. This program is a blessing in my life.
2. Appliances--is there anything better than listening to an appliance wash your dishes or wash your clothes, while you do something else? What a miraculous and wonderful blessing!
3. Good health. I am humbled and grateful to feel good and to have energy.
4. Shelter. When the wind blows and the rain falls, I have shelter. I have a place to be, and sleep in, that is warm and dry.
5. Clean water. I turn on the tap and enjoy the luxury of clean water. I am not hesitant as I drink the water.
6. Gospel teachers. What a privilege and blessing it is to listen to people teach and testify.
7. President Monson. I loved him when he spoke in days past, smiling, strong and healthy. I love him still, as he succumbs to old age and limited participation. He is the chosen prophet of our day and I still support him.
8. The beautiful world we live in and the majestic mountains.
9. The Holy Ghost. The Holy Ghost tutors me, sometimes gently rebukes me, warns, prompts, clarifies things, leads, directs, and comforts. I feel great support and assurance from this gift.
10. Good music. Nothing calms my soul like good music. I have set stations on Pandora for whatever kind of music I need right then, and often it is spiritual music to soothe my soul and help me get back into the right frame of mind.
