When Riverton High School runner Sean Rausch came upon his teammate, Blake Lewis, during the state cross country championship race, he was surprised to see that Lewis had fallen to the ground with a broken tibia.  Sean carried his teammate the remainder of the race and across the finish line.

Before falling to the ground in pain, Lewis was on track for a personal best time, and the Riverton High team had the state title within reach.  This was Rausch's final high school cross country race, and he knew he would be disqualified from the race if he lifted his teammate, but he did it.

Riverton ended up placing third.  Lewis said, "We wanted to bring home a trophy, but we brought home something more valuable--a life lesson that will probably never be forgotten by my teammates."
