Today I went to this temple not once, but twice. After my piano students were finished I drove to the temple to do the initiatory work for an ancestor, and then a couple of hours later Matthew and I attended an endowment session. I feel close my ancestor named Anna Rice and I feel close to the Savior.
Because of the Savior and His love and sacrifice, I have hope. There is light and beauty in this world but there will be much greater light and beauty in the kingdoms after this life. Because of the Atonement of Jesus Christ I have hope that I can live again with Heavenly Father, and that I can be made pure even though I have made mistakes and sinned. Because of the redemption the Savior provided for me, my debt has been paid and I have hope of standing clean and pure at the judgment day. Because of Jesus Christ, there are eternal ties that bind families together made possible in the making and keeping of temple covenants. Through His grace and His resurrection, the bands of death have been broken and we can live again. If we are faithful, we can live together as families through the eternities. Christ's atonement and resurrection have made so many things possible for me and I thank Him for His perfect life and His far-reaching and infinite sacrifice.
