This picture was taken last Saturday on our 33rd anniversary outside of the Salt Lake Temple. We were married in the Oakland Temple and it would have been neat to be back there on our anniversary, but the Salt Lake Temple was a wonderful substitute.
33 years! How the time has flown. I feel so blessed to be married to Matthew.
Speaking of marriage, several years ago our Bishop, John Knab, gave some wise counsel to the couples of the ward. He said:
1. Never try to make your spouse a better person. Strive to make them happy and then they will make themselves better.
2. Be quick to say, "I'm sorry."
3. keep your courtship alive.
4. Listen to your spouse.
5. Avoid ceaseless pinpricking.
6. Pray for the success of your marriage.
7. Learn to live within your means.
8. Be a true partner in home and family responsibility.
