This is a great man--Mr. Seth Hoffer. He is a stats TA and he is outstanding. He explains things well, he goes over concepts and formulas, and he builds us up and makes us be a part of the learning process.
I found this quote today:
"Each of us, from time to time, is mentored and has chances to mentor.
In my experience, truthful and caring one-liners that occur within such nurturing relationships have a long shelf life! You can probably recount three or four examples of how people have said something--probably a sentence of clause--and you remember it still. It moves and touches you still.
Such has been the case with me."
(Elder Neal Maxwell quoted in the book "A Heart Like His: Making Space for Lord's Love in Your Life", by Virginia Pearce, pg. 67)
I remember the encouraging words that Seth gave us, his struggling statistic students: "Yes!" "Exactly!" "That's it!"
