This doll is one of the sweetest gifts I have received. It came to me from a friend who knew that my mother was suffering from cancer earlier this year. She lovingly made this doll and gave it to me and it was such a warm, wonderful, kind gesture.
I took the doll to my mother's house and showed her what my friend had made for me and she was touched by the act of kindness and the detail of the doll. My mother showed the doll to everyone that came to see her and when I finished "my shift" the next day and prepared to leave, she asked me if I would leave the doll.
The doll now sits on my desk. It is a reminder of the love of a friend and it brings back sweet memories of the final days with my mother.
