My children know that my favorite words are "What can I do to help?" I just love when someone enters the kitchen and asks that.
Well, along with those words, I have another line that I love--it is "I'll be there."
I am the Ward Choir Director. My calling demands that I be flexible and patient. (Come to think of it--what calling doesn't demand those things?) People get sick, go out of town, sleep in, take a nap, forget, etc., and I have to go forward with who shows up and believe me, I am grateful to each and every person who shows up. Don't get me wrong--I don't judge the choir members when they can't come. I know that there are many things more important than a Ward Choir practice or performance. I welcome ward members whenever they can come.
But back to the story...tonight I was texting choir members to remind them of our 10:40 rehearsal tomorrow morning, and a teenage boy texted me back and said, "I'll be there." Is there a sweeter three word sentence? Some words just make me feel warm all over.
