There have been two things that have weighed heavily on me for several months. I have been praying and fasting about these two concerns. Concerning the first issue that has occupied my mind--nothing has changed and the issue remains. I do not question whether the Lord has heard my prayers, as I know He has, but the issue has not been resolved as quickly as I had hoped. I must patiently wait and continue to pray and fast and plead in faith, trusting the Lord.
Concerning the second issue-I have received clear guidance about this issue. I have been directed as to what I should say or do and thoughts have come to my mind regarding the issue. This guidance has strengthened my testimony of the Holy Ghost. I know that the Holy Ghost is real and that we can receive guidance and direction in our lives.
Sometimes the heavens seem "open" and revelation comes and at other times, there is not an immediate reply even after months of pleading, and patience and faith is needed.
I appreciate the gift of prayer. I appreciate the testimony I have of the reality of a loving Heavenly Father. I appreciate the gift of the Holy Ghost. I appreciate the Savior and all that He has done for me.
