A Sunday School teacher recommended that we study the scriptures listed under "Problem Solving" in the Topical Guide and this morning I did just that. The scriptures were insightful and helped me as I pondered a couple of things I am trying to solve in my life. Here are a few lines from these wonderful scriptures:
In all thy ways acknowledge him and he shall direct thy paths.
He that hearkeneth unto counsel is wise.
Ask and it shall be given you; seek, and he shall find;
knock, and it shall be opened unto you.
If any of ye lack wisdom, let him ask of God, which giveth to all men liberally and upbraideth not, and it shall be given unto him.
Have ye inquired of the Lord?
Feast upon the words of Christ;
for behold the words of Christ will tell you all things what ye should do.
Seek not to counsel the Lord, but to take counsel from his hand.
They had given themselves to much prayer and fasting,
therefore they had the spirit of revelation.
Counsel with the Lord in all thy doings and he shall direct thee for good.
Ye must study it out in your mind; then you must ask me if it be right.
And if any man shall seek to build up himself, and seeketh not my counsel, he shall have no power.
My soul hungered and I kneeled down before my maker and I cried unto him in mighty prayer.
