Another city, another restaurant, another mango shake.
It is difficult to find places that are safe to eat, until we ask someone who we trust who lives in the city, and then they point us towards a hidden restaurant, and the food is good, and we don't get sick, and the restaurant serves mango shakes. For a minute we forget about the issues and concerns of the mission, and we enjoy the cool and delicious treat. Cebu Island has the best mangoes in the world!

  1. That looks incredible! I just purchased two mangoes at the grocery store and honestly, they were rather benign tasting. I can only imagine how naturally raised, in season, and within the climate area fruit is going to taste. Enjoy while you can!

  2. That does look good. I don't know what it tastes like (I imagine super awesome), but the appearance brought something I like a lot to mind (lots of ice [I think like two trays of it], Tang powder [about two inches of it], and milk blended up in the blender). I'm glad you were able to find a safe place to eat!

To the other person named Anonymous: Homegrown mangoes are supposed to be super awesome. I've never had homegrown ones, but I love even the grocery store mangoes and the canned mangoes.
