We went downtown last night to check out the Conference Center, as it is now acting as the Visitor's Center while construction is happening on Temple Square.  I enjoyed every minute of the hour and a half we spent there. I loved the sculptured busts of each prophet, the portraits (so realistic!) of the living prophets and apostles, the gallery of Book of Mormon paintings, the section of the building which details the original construction of the Salt Lake Temple, the view from the roof of the Conference Center, and most especially the emphasis on Christ and the varied representations of Him. Here are a few of the many paintings of Him which adorn the walls.

"At the Well" by Crystal Close"

"Cristo CLV" by J. Kirk Richards

"Rescue of the Lost Lamb by Minerva Teichert

"The Same Yesterday, Today, and Forever" by Nick Stephens

"Seek My Face" by Gary Smith
