This is the last month The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will be producing the Ensign magazine. I have confidence the new magazine, the Liahona will also be wonderful, though it will be shorter in length. I want to give a shout-out to the marvelous instruction I have received over the years from each Ensign magazine. Gospel doctrine has been explained, personal stories and experiences from members of the church were shared, and most importantly, through the pages of the magazine I have received encouragement, strength, and personal revelation.

Take the issue of the Ensign pictured above, for example. This issue contained all of the talks from the October General Conference and was incredibly influential for me. I had listened to the talks in October, but there is something about reading them that for me that is especially helpful. Perhaps it is because I can stop and mark a section, or ponder, or reread a part of the talk. I have underlined notes on sections that I needed to hear, personal additions where I scribbled something I was thinking regarding a talk, or specific direction I was given, and passages marked "Do this!," that contain challenges for the days and weeks ahead.

How do I hear God's voice? I have heard God's voice while reading the Ensign magazines.
