I liked this book. The subject of "What Makes Women Beautiful?" was discussed by numerous women. Here are some highlights:
Beauty is about what is shining through a woman, not what her body looks like. I like looking for the shine in women now, including myself. It is beautiful. (Maili Black)
I am beautiful, and I don't feel vain in saying it. I am not pretentious, nor am I full of myself. I simply like myself. My willingness to love and be loved makes me beautiful. (Name withheld, pg. 92)
I find beauty in overcoming hardships. When a woman struggles, but still shows kindness and hope, she is beautiful. (Mallory Hutchings)
So who can you empower by lifting them up with your words? Whose smile can you comment on? When your words are beautiful, you are too. (Melissa K. Condie)
I am beautiful, and it has nothing to do with the clothes that I wear, the numbers on the scale, my haircut, or my makeup style. The single thing that has made me satisfied with my beauty--no matter my phase of life--is being happy with my life. (Jennifer Ricks)
