This is a little bit how I feel coming out of quarantine. Not that I have been laying on my back enjoying the sun for months, but there have definitely been sweet, quiet, productive times during this memorable phase.
Madeleine K. Albright, former secretary of state said this in a speech:
"Idleness is not just a vacation, an indulgence, or a vice. The space and quiet [it] provides is a necessary condition for standing back from life and seeing it whole. It is, paradoxically, necessary to getting work done."
This has definitely been a time to stand back from my past, "normal" life and see it as a whole. Am I ready to add everything back in? I have thought about where I spend my time and what I want to do with my days. This has been an important time of evaluation.
