Patrick Dougherty forms large shapes and structures using truckloads of willow branches. Some projects take weeks to prepare and he puts them together on site. I am fascinated with his choice of medium and the way he blends his art into the natural environment, or in the case of the piece I saw at the MOA, the room he had to work within.
