If you are ever in Seattle, I would recommend going to the Chihuly glass art exhibit.  You may recognize his art from the centerpiece of the Abravanel hall lobby. It is absolutely impossible from these pictures to see the scale, the vibrant colors and the architectural placement of these pieces.  The museum in Seattle was created for the purpose of housing Chihuly's pieces and some of them are very large. There is an indoor section and an outdoor section and in the gardens his intent was to place his pieces so that they looked like complimentary additions to the natural growth.  Chihuly is brilliant and the natural light shines through his pieces in a gorgeous way.
