I like Barbara Bush. She was a great proponent of family and faith.  She had a good common sense attitude about life and her confidence and values were secure. Here are some favorite quotes from her:

To us, family means putting your arms around each other and being there.

Never lose sight of the fact that the most important yardstick of your success will be how you treat other people--your family, friends, and coworkers, and even strangers you meet along the way.

You just don't luck into things as much as you think you'd like to think you do.  You build step by step, whether it's friendships or opportunities.

People who worry about their hair all the time, frankly, are boring.

Family, friends, and faith are the most important things in life.

I'm worried about parents who aren't parenting.
