This past few days I have been reading chapters from Deuteronomy. The message of these verses is tremendous.

And it shall be, when the Lord thy God shall have brought thee into the land which he sware unto thy fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give thee great and goodly cities, which thou buildedst not, and houses full of all good things, which thou filledst not, and wells digged, which thou diggedst not, vineyards and olive tress, which thou plantedst not; when thou shalt have eaten and be full; then beware lest thou forget the Lord, which brought thee forth out of the land of Egypt, form the house of bondage.

And thou shalt remember all the way which the Lord thy God led thee these forty years in the wilderness, to humble thee, and to prove thee, to know what was in thine heart, whether thou wouldest keep his commandments, or no.

Beware that thou forget not the Lord thy God. But thou shalt remember the Lord thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power.
(Verses from Deuteronomy chapters 6 and 8)

These verses are a reminder to me to remember the Lord and all He has done for me. How can I forget Him? He has helped me through every day and stage of life--through callings, schooling, finances, raising children, helping aged parents, life planning, repentance, and so on. The Lord of the Old Testament, even Jesus Christ, is the God who led the children of Israel out of Egypt and he continues to lead me.
