There have been many days where I have scowled at the breeze--breezes that would blow the tablecloths off of outdoor tables, or cause my hair to flip up and get in my eyes, but when I was on the stake pioneer trek this summer, I prayed for a breeze and when it came, I cherished it.
We hiked in very hot weather and we had many layers of clothing on. Early on in the day, we became hot and sweaty with miles left to go. A cool breeze, be it ever so faint, was such a welcome, pleasant blessing.
Sometimes the Lord sends little tender mercies that are almost imperceptible, but they are there. I often dwell on what isn't right in my life, or what I want changed, or what is bothering me, and I forget to notice the many ways that the Lord is blessing me.
If I am in tune with the spirit, I notice His hand in my life and I notice the small, wonderful things that are happening.
Omni 1:25 reads: "There is nothing which is good save it comes from the Lord."
I want to notice the good and be aware and grateful.
