Ah summer is lovely! The bright colors of the flowers and the green of the grass are a delight to my eyes.
I am happy because it is summer and because....
...Brother Baumann is doing better after his bad fall off of a ladder.
...Sister Lindquist is healing from back surgery.
...Brother Burke is getting over the bad infection he dealt with after having knee replacement surgery.
...Kristi McDowell is home now and she is recovering.
...Brother Oliphant was at church on Sunday which means he must be feeling a little better after his radiation and chemotherapy treatments.
...We had a wonderful past Relief Society Presidency and we have a wonderful new Relief Society Presidency. What a blessing it is to have seamless changes in church leadership positions.
...My nephew Aaron found a wife! I am very happy for him.
...There will be at least two grandchildren staying at our home for the next month. That is a joyful thing.
...My daughters enjoy being mothers.
...Some of my son's best friends are leaving on missions. I am grateful that they are worthy and willing to serve.
...I am halfway to my goal of working on family history for 100 hours in 2015.
...I feel the love of the Lord as I look at the green, majestic mountains, as I feel the summer breeze, and as I look up into the sky.
