I've been thinking some more about what Emily Lyman said.
(referring back to the May 27th post)
She said: "You own your situation. Own it."
That is a mature thing to do--to own your situation.
When I am ornery, I need to own it. It is not the fault of someone else--it is something I own and can do something about.
When I feel stressed or overwhelmed, I need to own it. I should sit down and have a talk with myself and look at my lists and make a game plan. I should kneel down and pray and ask for the Lord's guidance and help. I can do something about it.
It is easy to put the blame elsewhere, or expect someone or something else to step in and fix my mood, or my problem, or my life, but it is up to me!
I own my attitude.
I own my outlook.
I own my choices.
I own my obedience.
I own my testimony.
Meaning that the strength or weakness of any of the above items, are up to me. I am responsible for them.
