Until recently, Matthew had never broken a bone, nor had I, nor had any of our children. The last three weeks have proven interesting as three members of the family have broken their fingers. I know that there are many more serious injuries that one can suffer from than a broken finger, but we have been reminded what an important role fingers play in our lives.
We use our fingers to do up buttons.
We use our fingers to tie shoes.
We use our fingers to wash dishes.
We use our fingers to lift things.
We use our fingers to wash our hair.
We use our fingers to do hundreds of things every day.
What a blessing and gift our hands and fingers are.
