A four generation picture:  my mother is bottom right (Carol),
her mother is standing above her (Caroline), her mother is on the top left (Armenia), and my great, great grandmother is sitting bottom left (Sarah).

Our stake is emphasizing temple and family history work this year.  We were each challenged to spend time on family history work and temple service during this year, and most recently our Bishop added another challenge--to find a name to take the temple.  At tithing settlement, the Bishop reminded us of the stake challenge and I told the Bishop that I would spend 100 hours this year working on family history. I am not sure what I was thinking because last year I spent about 10 hours on family history, but here I go.  I broke the goal down and figured out that if I work 10 hours a month for 10 months, I will finish my 100 hour goal.  Ten hours a month means that for 20 days of the month, I need to spend a half hour a day working on family history.  For me, this sounds a bit overwhelming, but it is good for me and I am enjoying it.  This month I spent time scanning pictures from my grandmother's scrapbook.  I scanned them and labeled them and now I am adding them to Family Search so that other family members can see them too.  Next I want to edit our old family videos and put them on DVD. There is a lot to do and I think this goal will help me get going!
