Today I am going to start a blog.  (Thanks Marie for your help with the design.)  There are a couple purposes for starting this blog:
1.  A place for me to write my thoughts and observations and
2.  A way to uplift and share.  There is much good in the world and there is much to be grateful for and I want to find positive things to write about in this weary, wicked world. So here goes...

I found the story about a girl named Taylor Vail fascinating.  Taylor had some cruel things said about her and Taylor's Dad, Adam Vail, instead of "slapping" back, decided to do something positive about it.  Here is the story:

The positive messages that were sent to Taylor "erased the negativity."  I think this is an incredible approach!  Instead of putting his energy into finding out who wrote the negative messages, or sending negative messages back to them, Adam Vail took the positive approach.

Here is another story with a similar angle:

I'm still thinking about these two situations and learning from them.  How can I apply this principle in my life?  When something negative happens to me, how can I put my energy into doing something positive to offset the negativity?  That is what I want to do.
