I've been thinking...

One of the reasons that I am so happy in life is because I feel love; love from my Heavenly Father, love from my Savior,  love from my husband, love from my children, love from my parents and in-laws, love from my siblings, and love from friends.  I am so fortunate to be surrounded and encircled by much love.  Here is a quote about love from President Monson in the last General Conference:

May we begin now, this very day, to express love to all of God's children, whether they be our family members, our friends, mere acquaintances, or total strangers.

I think that President Monson is asking us to share and express love.  Love is a quality that the Savior possesses and it is a quality that a disciple of Christ should possess.  It is easy for me to express love to my family members and my friends, but I have been thinking about ways that I can express love to "mere acquaintances and total strangers."  Perhaps it is in my tone of voice, the respect that I give them as I talk with them, the way I think about them or try to understand them and where they are coming from, the smile I give them, the chances I have to see good in people and to tell them, the encouragement I can offer, and the promptings I receive in regards to people, that I should strive to follow.  This is something I need to work on--to cultivate a feeling of love for all people.
