My sister-in-law recommended a book to me titled, "The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up: the Japanese Art of Decluttering and Organizing" by Marie Kondo. I read it, learned from it, and I am going to follow some of Marie's advice. Here are few points from the book:
One reason so many of us never succeed at tidying is because
we have too much stuff. This excess is caused by our ignorance
of how much we actually own.
Putting your house in order is the magic that creates a vibrant and happy life.
Tidying is our opportunity to express our appreciation to our home for
all it does for us.
It's a very strange phenomenon, but when we reduce what we own and essentially "detox" our house, it has a detox effect on our bodies as well.
After tidying, many clients tell me that their worldly desires have decreased.
